In 1977 France, the women's liberation movement is growing, and Suzanne takes over management of her husband Robert's factory after he suffers a heart attack from the shock of his workers striking for higher wages. She surprises herself and those around her as she takes on his role with ease, even sparking a connectiono with the union leader, which all leads to complications upon her Robert's return.
